High Incidence of Flu and ARVI Remains in Drohobych Community

The head of the health department of the Drohobych City Council, Volodymyr Chuba, provided data on the community’s illnesses for the past week. According to his information, 324 residents are suffering from influenza and ARVI. In particular, children aged 5 to 14 years account for 110 of the specified number, while adults from 30 to 64 years old – 125 people.

Two patients with this infection were hospitalized with complications. No other diseases, such as COVID, were detected among the documented cases. The total number of hospitalizations in community medical institutions for the week amounted to 599 people for various diagnoses, including 12 heart attacks, 11 strokes, and 88 surgical interventions, 24 of them were emergency surgeries.

Last week, the medical institutions of Drohobych community received 88 thank-you notes from patients. Moreover, 11 children were born in the maternity department, including 2 boys and 9 girls, which was a pleasant news for the community.
