A modern angiograph has started working in the Chervonohrad city hospital

From now on, patients can receive a range of diagnostic and treatment services on modern equipment.

In the Chervonograd city hospital, the reception department was reconstructed. And recently, a modern diagnostic device – an angiograph – was put into operation here. His hospital received it from the Ministry of Health. The cost of the angiograph is 8 million 722 thousand hryvnias.

With the help of an angiograph, doctors can diagnose the presence of any vascular pathology in a patient, they will examine the vessels of the heart, lower extremities, and renal arteries. Angiography will also help diagnose the presence of a blood clot in the brain.

“This device is long-awaited for our hospital. From now on, all residents of the Chervonograd district with suspicion of a heart attack will be able to receive an effective diagnosis at our medical facility. It will be possible to perform an angiographic examination around the clock, because doctors will be on duty here. If a heart attack is confirmed in a person and there is a need to install a stent, the patient will immediately receive such a medical service in the operating room. If the diagnosis is not confirmed, the patient will be discharged from the hospital after a few days of stay,” said hospital director Ihor Grondzal.

Three patients have already been diagnosed thanks to the new device. All were discharged.

“People should have access to quality medicine. Especially during a full-scale war, our institutions must be ready to provide quality medical services. Chervonograd city hospital is a cluster hospital (a multidisciplinary intensive care hospital) and serves more than 230,000 residents of the district. The additional burden on the medical facility was due to the large number of internally displaced persons. That is why similar institutions should be equipped with modern equipment for diagnosing any kind of diseases. Sometimes the countdown goes on for minutes. A correct diagnosis at the beginning of treatment is a key condition for doctors to be able to save people’s lives,” emphasized Ivan Sobko, deputy head of the Lviv OVA.

According to Orest Chemerys, director of the health care department of the Lviv regional hospital, in addition to the regional center, Drohobytsk City Hospital No. 1 has an angiograph. And from now on, also Chervonograd City Hospital.

We will remind that 231,000 people, as well as more than 13,000 displaced persons, live in the territory of the Chervonograd district.
