Despite the war, babies are born in Ukraine every day. Only in the maternity homes of the Third Medical Association of Lviv during the full-scale war, Ukrainian women gave birth to 3,723 children.
In particular, 1,994 children were born in the city maternity hospital No. 1, and 1,729 babies were born in the maternity ward of the 3rd city hospital.
By the way, Ukrainians who were forced to move from their hometowns to Lviv because of the war receive shelter here and the necessary assistance, including medical care. This includes both inpatient and outpatient care, routine vaccinations, etc. During this time, more than 140,000 people have already received treatment and consultations.
As a reminder, three territorial medical associations function in Lviv: emergency (First TMO), planned care (Second TMO) and obstetrics and gynecology (Third TMO). Actually, the Third TMO united the city clinical maternity hospital No. 1 and the maternity ward of the 3rd city hospital.
