In Lviv, you can learn Nordic walking for free and check your health

On Saturday, April 8, residents of Lviv are invited to join the “Healthy Walk” in the park named after Ivan Franko (11-13 Solomia Krushelnytska St.).

During the walk, all those willing will be able to learn Nordic walking together (with an instructor) and check their health.

There will be a medical zone in the park, where participants can measure their blood pressure, check their blood sugar level, consult a family doctor and an infectious disease specialist. Anyone interested will be able to determine their body mass index and receive advice on healthy eating. There will also be an opportunity to take a quick test for viral hepatitis and get vaccinated against COVID-19. And all those willing will receive useful information about how to properly brush their teeth, wash their hands and generally take care of their health.

Nordic walking classes with an instructor will last from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the park along a special route. In order to take part in the walk, you need to register via the link https://forms.gle/ZkHmHaYPMncfi3zH7.

Registered participants will receive Nordic walking gear and headphones to listen to music and interesting health information for 20 minutes, as well as a gift at the end of the walk.

On the stage, the presenter will hold raffles on the topic of health, where you can get nice gifts for correct answers. Such a wellness event is an opportunity to take care of your health and spend time in the fresh air with family and friends.

The event was initiated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine as part of a regional communication campaign to support vaccination against COVID-19. In Lviv, the event is held with the support of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
