The 23-year-old athlete from Vynnyk won the international tournament “Sassari City Matteo Pellicone Memorial” in Italy. He competed in the 125 kg weight category.
Yuriy is a master of sports of Ukraine of international class. Recently, for the first time, he won the gold of the championship of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling among adults.
The athlete masters freestyle wrestling at the Complex Regional Children’s and Youth Sports School “Athlet” and FST “Dynamo”. He is coached by Viktor Hlibenko and Roman Protsiv.
In general, the men’s freestyle wrestling team of Ukraine took first place in the team standings. Our wrestlers won 12 medals, half of them of the highest category.
