On 19 May, a large-scale street workout event – the Workout Lviv Cup 2024 Ukrainian Championship – takes place on the square in front of the Opera House.
This is the largest event in this sport in Lviv. Over 200 athletes from all over Ukraine are competing for the title of the best in different age categories. The competition will last until 17.00. The winners will be awarded afterwards.
First Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko greeted the participants from the Lviv community. “We now have one big common dream – victory. Therefore, it is important for us to become stronger and united,” said Andriy Moskalenko.
At the same time, Ivan Krylenko, President of the All-Ukrainian Street Workout Federation, thanked the city authorities for the opportunity to hold such competitions in Lviv.
We would like to add that today the athletes are competing in the following age categories: under 11 years old; 12-14 years old; 15-17 years old and 18+. There will also be battles among participants under 16 and among those who are 16 and older.
The competition is organised by the All-Ukrainian Street Workout Federation with the support of the Department of Sports and Youth Policy of the Lviv City Council.

Workout is a mass movement based on physical education with the use of training equipment in public facilities, such as parks, sports grounds in urban areas. It includes training on the horizontal bar and uneven bars, which takes place outdoors.
