Safety of children on the road is our joint responsibility!
Out of the mentioned number of traffic accidents, 139 – with victims. Unfortunately, 7 children died and 159 were injured in these road accidents.
In particular, 2 child pedestrians and 5 child passengers were killed. In addition, 47 young pedestrians, 11 child cyclists were injured, 81 children received injuries of varying severity while in the passenger seat, and another 20 minors were injured while driving a vehicle.
Law enforcement officers call on parents: remind children of the Road Safety Rules. In particular, you should cross the road only at pedestrian crossings, and you can ride a bicycle only on bicycle paths.
In addition, make sure that the child’s clothes have reflective elements – this will make them visible in the dark.
And the police remind drivers: be especially careful when approaching pedestrian crossings and intersections, as well as follow the rules for transporting children.
