According to the procedural guidance of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office, a 57-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man were suspected of illegal acquisition, storage and sale of particularly dangerous narcotic drugs (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the couple was engaged in the sale of cannabis in one of the villages of the Lviv district. The suspects sold a particularly dangerous drug from their homes.
The court chose preventive measures for the defendants in the form of detention with the right to post bail.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the VP No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the GU of the NP of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
