The Lviv Prosecutor’s Office has notified a resident of Nikopol of suspicion for supporting the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine

Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 43-year-old resident of Nikopol was informed of the suspicion of justifying, recognizing as legitimate, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and glorifying its participants (Part 2, 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the woman, using her own account on a banned social network, repeatedly distributed materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and supporting the military personnel of the aggressor country.

In December of last year, hiding from shelling, the suspect moved to Lviv, where she continued to approve the actions of the occupiers, called on them not to stop and to continue their armed aggression.

At the prosecutor’s request, the court chose the defendant as a preventive measure in the form of detention.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SBU Office in the Lviv Region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
