A 40-year-old man was found guilty of domestic violence and willful failure to comply with a restraining order of the court (Article 126-1, Article 390-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) according to the public accusation of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office.

He was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment.

It was established that the accused lived with his ex-wife and her mother in one of the villages of the Skolivska territorial community.

For a long time, the man was unemployed, often abused alcohol and systematically committed domestic violence against women.

In particular, the person involved, being previously convicted of domestic violence, continued to cause conflicts for no reason, insulted and humiliated the victims, intimidated and threatened with physical violence.
