At the request of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the corporate rights of the Lviv enterprise, which is one of the largest manufacturers of glass products in Western Ukraine, have been seized for the total amount of UAH 11 million, as well as 19 real estate objects of this enterprise – a complete property complex of the company. The total amount of seized property is almost UAH 470 million.
The issue of transferring the arrested person to the ARMA administration is being resolved.
According to the investigation, the officials of the company, the founder of which is an Estonian company, and the beneficial owners are a group of citizens of the Russian Federation, who exercise financial control over the funds from the sale of glass products, avoid paying taxes thanks to financial intermediaries – related companies in Estonia. In addition, these citizens of the Russian Federation are involved in the material support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which is an important element of financing during the military aggression in Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on the facts of tax evasion, official forgery, as well as the financing of actions committed with the aim of seizing state power, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, is carried out by the investigators of the State Department of the State of Ukraine in the Lviv Region, according to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region (h Article 2, 110-2, part 1 of article 212, part 1 of article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
