Criminals accused of organizing the illegal transportation of conscripted men abroad will be tried in Lviv Oblast

Law enforcement officers documented 28 such facts. Two residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, aged 42 and 50, face up to seven years of imprisonment for the crime.

The perpetrators were exposed by operatives of the Migration Police Department together with employees of the Lviv border detachment and investigators of the Yavoriv district police department, under the procedural guidance of the Yavoriv district prosecutor’s office.

As law enforcement officers established, in the period from July to September 2022, two residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, aged 42 and 50, organized the illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine during martial law for conscript citizens, producing forged documents that grant such a right. Law enforcement officers documented 28 such facts.

Investigators of the territorial division of the police informed the perpetrators of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the indictments have been referred to the court.

The maximum punishment facing the accused is imprisonment for a term of up to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
