Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment against the former director of the company was sent to court. He is charged with misappropriation of budgetary funds and forgery of official documents (Part 4 of Article 191, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the accused misappropriated funds during the overhaul of the fire alarm and fire warning system in the building of one of Lviv’s municipal clinics.
To do this, the contractor entered false information about the volume and cost of the materials used in the certificate of acceptance of the completed construction work and the certificate of its cost.
As a result, the business entity unjustifiably received more than UAH 500 thousand.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region with operational support from the State Investigation Department in Lviv region of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
