During the 24-hour shift, the rescuers of the Lviv Oblast were twice involved in rescuing people who were trapped by deformed structures of cars as a result of traffic accidents. So, in particular, on April 10 at 20:41, rescuers received a message that in the village Nove Selo, Drohobytsky District, on the Drohobych – Stryi highway, a Volkswagen Jetta collided with a Mercedes-Benz W 124. As a result of the accident, the driver of the “Mercedes-benz W 124”, a man born in 2004, was trapped in the car. With the help of hydraulic equipment, rescuers from the 5th State Fire and Rescue Department of Drohobych and the 2nd Special Rapid Response Center of Drohobych unblocked the victim and handed him over to medics. The medics hospitalized the victim with moderate injuries to the Drohobytsk City Hospital
On the morning of April 11 at 05:00, the Rescue Service “101” received a message that in the village There was a collision of three cars: a “Fiat Ducato” car and two “DAF” cars in Sheghina, Yavoriv district.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the car, a woman born in 1979, was trapped by the deformed structures of the Fiat Ducato car. Rescuers from the 26th state fire-rescue unit of Mostysk and the 12th state fire-rescue unit of Sambir freed the victim with the help of hydraulic scissors and handed her over to medics. In total, three people were injured as a result of the road accident: two passengers of the Fiat Ducato car and the driver of the DAF car.
