The SBU eliminated a corruption scheme and detained two city council members who demanded a bribe for solving the “land issue” in Lviv Oblast
The security service collected evidence on the deputies of one of the city councils in the Lviv region.
The extras are suspected of organizing an illegal scheme of granting permits for long-term lease of land for construction in the local OTG.
We are talking about the Chairman of the commission on land relations and architecture, as well as his accomplice – a member of the commission on economic issues, finances and the budget of the local self-government body.
For US $ 30,000, the “deputies” guaranteed an accelerated mechanism for approving documentation, as well as not creating artificial obstacles for the entrepreneur during business activities.
The law enforcement officers arrested the dealers red-handed while receiving the first part of the bribe – $15,000.
Currently, the detainees have been notified of the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official).
The court chose a preventive measure for them – detention with the right to post bail.
The investigation is ongoing to find out all the circumstances and identify other participants in the specified illegal scheme.
