On the border with Poland, border guards once again exposed a scheme for the illegal transportation of men of military age.
A 33-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were heading to a neighboring country through the Hrushiv checkpoint. The newlyweds went on a Christmas-New Year’s “wedding trip”. During the inspection, as a basis for going abroad, the newly married couple provided a marriage certificate and a certificate of a disabled person of the III group of the citizen.
However, during an additional check by operatives of the Lviv detachment and a conversation with the spouses, the woman admitted that the marriage was concluded so that the husband could go abroad as an escort of a person with a disability.
The police officers were informed about this fact. The woman was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine.”
