The traffic accident happened on September 14, around 10:00 a.m., on Gagarina Street in Zhovkva.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Chevrolet Aveo car, a 68-year-old resident of Zhovkva, hit a pedestrian, a 57-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
