The accused, who are in custody, are liable to imprisonment for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
As the law enforcement officers established, in 2023, criminals organized a supply channel to the territory of one of the correctional institutions of narcotic drugs, in particular, drug-containing tablets “Subutex” and their sale.
The group included three residents of Drohobych aged 33, 36 and 40. All of them were previously brought to criminal liability, and one of them, a 36-year-old, is currently serving a sentence in the specified correctional facility.
The police officers documented the facts of the sale and sale of prohibited substances, and during the authorized searches, they discovered and seized from the defendants drug-containing tablets, packages and rolls with substances similar to narcotics, as well as other physical evidence of their involvement in illegal activities. Everything seized was sent for expert research at the Lviv Research Expert Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 3 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment is referred to the court.
The perpetrators were exposed by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department together with investigators of the general criminal investigation department of the investigative department of the police of Lviv region and operatives of the correctional institution, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv regional prosecutor’s office.
