The traffic accident occurred on July 9, around 6:50 p.m., in the village of Zaglyna, Lviv district.
As the law enforcement officers established, there was a collision between a “Lifan” motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old resident of the district and a “Renault Megane” car driven by a 38-year-old resident of the city of Zhovkva.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the motorcycle, as well as his passenger, a 17-year-old resident of Sambir district, received injuries of varying degrees of severity and were hospitalized.
Investigators of the department of investigations of crimes in the field of transport of the police of Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanctions of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation continues, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
