Surrendered to the enemy the positions of the Armed Forces in the front-line Lyman – a resident of the Donetsk region was sentenced to 13 years in prison

According to a public accusation by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a resident of Donetsk Region was found guilty of collaborative activity (part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He was sentenced to 13 years in prison. And also deprived of the right to hold positions in state and local self-government bodies for a period of 13 years.

Prosecutors proved in court that in May 2022, the convict collected data on the locations of deployment, movement and camouflage of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the front-line Liman of the Donetsk region.

After that, he passed the information on to the representative of the so-called “DNR”. For correspondence, he used the Odnoklassniki social network, banned in Ukraine. In the text messages, he indicated the addresses of Ukrainian troops in the city.

The impersonator was discovered in one of the villages of the Lviv region, where he was disguised as an internally displaced person.

During the trial, the accused could not convince the court that he was sorry for what he had done.

The man will be in custody until the verdict becomes final.
