On October 12, at 10:03 p.m., the rescuers received a report that in the village Coal of the Stryi district, two people got lost in the forest while picking mushrooms, namely: a man, born in 1947, and a woman, born in 1953, residents of the city of Stryi.
As it turned out at the scene, the couple went on a quiet hunt and got lost. Having a phone with them, they managed to call their relatives and inform them that they were lost, but after some time the connection with the lost disappeared.
At 23:44, the lost were found by the Slav search and rescue group.
The search for the lost couple involved the Slav search and rescue group, the operational group of the Stryi district, police officers, foresters, and the local population.
