Rescuers on Mount Trostyan helped 2 female tourists-skiers

On 4 February, rescuers received a report that 2 injured female tourists born in 1988 and 1989 needed help on Mount Trostyan.

The women had injured their legs and were unable to descend on their own.

The rescuers provided first aid to the women and brought them down to the foot of the mountain.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Lviv region reminds of the rules of safe skiing

– keep a safe speed that will give you time for additional manoeuvre to avoid a collision;
– do not abuse alcohol while skiing, as the reaction time is reduced significantly;
– wear protective equipment.

Remember that in places of mass skiing, an unskilled and, most importantly, undisciplined skier is a serious danger both to others and to yourself.
