The traffic accident happened on September 3 around 12:00 on the Lviv-Radehiv-Lutsk highway in the village of Zhovtansy, Lviv district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, a Chevrolet Lacetti car, driven by a 19-year-old Kyiv resident, and an Etalon bus on the Lviv-Lutsk route, driven by a 60-year-old resident of the Volyn region, collided. As a result of the collision, two bus passengers aged 17 and 22 were injured. They were taken to the hospital.
In addition, it was established that the Chevrolet driver was driving the vehicle under the influence of drugs and without documents.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
