Within 10 days, about 120 vans with drinking water will go from Lviv region to the southern regions

Another batch of drinking water was sent from Lviv Oblast to the regions that suffered the most as a result of the explosion by the occupiers of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

Yesterday, the first 4 trucks of 80 tons of water left for the Mykolaiv region, from where it was transferred to Kherson, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. The water is provided absolutely free of charge by the Morshyn mineral water plant “Oscar” with the support of the Lviv OVA.

“The issue of drinking water is acute in the Kherson region. We have seen videos of the military delivering bottles of water for the population to the roofs of flooded houses using drones. The first trucks with water that left Lviv Oblast yesterday were unloaded, people are already receiving help, but it is not enough. We have agreed that all the water will be transferred free of charge by the Morshyn Mineral Water Plant. Over the next 10 days, the company plans to hand over about 120 trucks. We thank Kherson OVA, which informs about the needs, we will try to close all of them as soon as possible”, – emphasized the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

Today, 12 more cars will go to the southern regions. In total, over the next 10 days, the company plans to deliver approximately 120 vans with drinking water, which is equal to almost 260 tons of cargo.

“The entire load of drinking water will be received by the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regional military administrations, because they have better information on how much water is needed and in which settlements it is most needed. In addition to the freight, we fully cover the logistics costs. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have been helping our army, and when we learned about the disaster they caused in southern Ukraine, we decided not to delay, because every minute is important for rescue,” Vsevolod Bilas, a shareholder of the Morshinsky mineral water plant “Oscar”, noted.

The road from Lviv Oblast to the most affected regions takes 1.5 days.

As Oleksandr Lysovych, head of logistics at the Morshyn plant, said, the company operates on the domestic market, but exports goods to the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, and Moldova.
