Medical services are the most frequent need of Defenders returning from the combat zone to their hometowns. Having arrived for a few days of leave, it is very important for them to undergo a high-quality and comprehensive medical examination, and most importantly, to do so in a timely manner and without queues.
Correct communication with veterans and their families, assistance in their needs, and informing them of their right to free services under the NHSU medical guarantee programme should be an integral part of the service culture in medical facilities throughout Ukraine. As well as meeting the requirements of barrier-free, accessible, and inclusive services.
To this end, the First Women’s Veterans Space “Rehab” together with the NGO “Families of the Fallen Heroes of Lviv Region” and the Centre for Assistance to Families of ATO Participants, with the support of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, signed a dozen memoranda with medical institutions of the Drohobych Territorial Community on 15 February in Kotermak.
The memorandums were signed by Maria Petryshyn, head of the First Women’s Veterans’ Space ReHab, invited representatives of the community’s medical institutions and the city’s leadership: community head Taras Kuchma and Deputy for Humanitarian and Social Relations Yuriy Kushlyk.
According to Maria Petryshyn, the main goal of the Medical Lviv Region for Defenders project is to expand access to medical services in the Lviv region for female veterans, defenders, mothers, girls and other relatives of veterans, including fallen, captured and missing heroes.
Mariia Petryshyn also stressed that often defenders who come to their hometowns for a few days of leave want to undergo a high-quality and comprehensive examination. However, queues, appointments for MRI or CT scans that are made several months in advance do not allow for prompt action. Therefore, within the framework of the project, some territorial communities are introducing so-called assistant positions at medical institutions to accompany soldiers or family members of missing heroes to undergo a medical examination quickly, efficiently and fully, as well as to take the necessary tests.
The signing of memoranda with medical institutions of the Drohobych territorial community will help to establish quality processes and a full medical examination of the Defenders of Ukraine, and most importantly – without queues.
In his turn, Drohobych Mayor Taras Kuchma stressed that with the full-scale invasion and the migration of IDPs to the rear of the city, the medical sector in Drohobych has faced many more challenges and tasks.
We have to remember that the war is not only at the frontline – it is acutely felt in every city, because some people have lost their homes, some have lost their closest people, and some have had relatives return from the front with disabilities. In view of this, we must be ready to provide various kinds of assistance to the military, especially psychological. And thank you (First Women’s Veterans Space ReHab) for focusing on the timeliness of medical services for our soldiers and encouraging medical institutions to help defenders undergo examinations without queues and other unnecessary hassles. Together, we are changing our medical institutions for the better,” Mayor Taras Kuchma addressed the audience.
Медичні послуги – найчастіша потреба Захисників та Захисниць, які повертаються із зони бойових дій у рідні міста. Адже прибувши на декілька днів відпустки, для них дуже важливо пройти якісне та повноцінне медичне обстеження і головне зробити це своєчасно та без черг.
Коректна комунікація із ветеранами, членами їхніх родин, допомога у їхніх потребах, інформування про право на безкоштовні послуги за програмою медгарантій НСЗУ мають бути невідʼємним елементом культури обслуговування у медичних закладах по усій території України. Як і забезпечення вимог безбарʼєрності, доступності, інклюзії.
З цією метою «Перший жіночий ветеранський простір «Рехаб»» спільно з ГО “Родин полеглих Героїв Львівщини” та Центром допомоги сім’ям учасників АТО за підтримки Львівської обласної військової адміністрації в рамках проєкту «Медична Львівщина – Захисницям» – 15 лютого у місті Котермака підписали десяток Меморандумів із медичними закладами Дрогобицької територіальної громади.
Меморандуми підписували Марія Петришин, голова ГО «Перший жіночий ветеранський простір «РеХаб», запрошені представники медичних закладів громади та керівництво міста: очільник громади Тарас Кучма та заступник з гуманітарних і соціальних відносин Юрій Кушлик.
За словами Марії Петришин, головна мета проєкту «Медична Львівщина – Захисницям» – розширення доступу до медичних послуг на території Львівської області для ветеранок та ветеранів, захисниць, матерів, дівчаток та інших родичок ветеранів в тому числі полеглих, полонених та зниклих безвісти Героїв.
Також Марія Петришин наголосила – часто Захисники та Захисниці, які прибувають у рідні міста на кілька днів відпустки хочуть пройти якісне та повноцінне обстеження. Однак, черги, запис на МРТ чи КТ, який є складеним на кілька місяців вперед не дозволяють оперативно все зробити. Тож в рамках проєкту – деякі територіальні громади вводять при медичних закладах так звані посади помічників, які супроводжують воїнів чи членів родин Героїв, які зникли безвісти, пройти медобстеження швидко, якісно та повноцінно, а також здати необхідні аналізи.
Підписання Меморандумів із медичними установами Дрогобицької територіальної громади посприяє налагодженню якісних процесів та повноцінному медичному обстеженню Захисників та Захисниць і головне – без черг.
В свою чергу міський голова Дрогобича Тарас Кучма підкреслив, що із повномасштабним вторгненням, а також із міграцією ВПО у тилові міста, у медичній галузі Дрогобиччини в рази побільшало викликів та завдань.
Маємо пам’ятати, що війна не тільки на передових позиціях фронту – вона гостро відчувається у кожному місті, бо хтось втратив оселю, хтось найрідніших людей, а до когось із фронту рідні повернулись з інвалідністю. Зважаючи на це маємо бути готовими до надання різного роду допомог військовим, особливо психологічних. А вам («Перший жіночий ветеранський простір «РеХаб») дякую за те, що акцентуєте увагу на своєчасності надання медичних послуг нашим воїнам та стимулюєте медустанови сприяти захисникам у проходженні обстежень без черг та інших не потрібних клопотів. Спільно змінюємо наші медичні установи на краще, – звернувся до присутніх міський голова Тарас Кучма.
