Residents are asked not to visit Lviv’s parks – treatment for ticks is ongoing

From today, the Lviv City Territorial Community started acaricidal treatment of parks, forest parks, and green areas. Processing will last 3 days – until Wednesday, May 24, inclusive. After all, forecasters predict weather without precipitation on these days. Residents are urged not to visit parks during this period.

In order to prevent the breeding of ticks and to minimize the risk of bites to the residents of the Lviv MTG, treatment is carried out with the insecticide “Tsyperthrin”. The total area to be processed is 136,850 m2.

Schedule of acaricidal treatments

May 22

– “700th Anniversary of Lviv” Park;

– Park-monument of garden and park art of local importance “Vysoky Zamok”;

– Park “Zamarstinivskyi”;

– Park-monument of garden and park art of local significance named after I. Franko;

– “Kortumova Gora” park, a geological monument of nature of local significance;

– Park “Under Golosko”;

– The park is limited to St. I. Mikolajchuk, str. Hetman I. Mazepa, str. Pylyp Orlyk;

– “Znesinnia” regional landscape park.

May 23

– “Zalizna Voda” park-monument of garden and park art of local importance;

– “Snopkivskyi” park-monument of garden and park art of local importance;

– Park of St. John Paul II of the Pope;

– Archangel Michael Park on Stryyska St.;

– Park-monument of garden and park art of national importance “Strysky Park”;

– Monument of garden and park art of local importance – Lviv Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after B. Khmelnytskyi.

May 24

– Botanical monument of nature of local importance “Pohulyanka Forest Park”;

– “Lychakivskyi” park-monument of garden and park art of local importance, including the “Hill of Glory” memorial complex;

– “Mayorivka” green zone;

– Park “Lake Levandivske”;

– Landscape reserve of local importance “Torfovishche Bilogorshcha”;

– Park “On Roksolyan Street”;

– Kolonia Park;

– Forest reserve of local significance “Rudno Forest Park”.

“Further processing of the rest of the parks will be carried out as soon as weather conditions allow. We will inform you about this further.

In the event of a change in weather conditions (if it rains enough), the processing schedule may be adjusted, which will also be necessarily reported,” – noted the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv City Council.

We will remind you that the acaricidal treatment of parks and green areas of Lviv, which was planned to start on May 15, was forced to postpone due to unfavorable weather conditions. Since it is not possible to treat parks in rainy weather.
