
Athletes from Drohobych delivered an outstanding performance at the national level during the ‘Zhovkva Cup Race’, dedicated to the memory of Andriy Kutsenko. The event in Zhovkva on 25-26 April attracted 227 participants from all corners of the country.
The Drohobych team, training at the SDYUSHOR ‘Medyk’, secured a total of 11 medals: seven golds, three silvers, and one bronze. Notably, among the juniors, Artur Stetsiv twice took to the podium, winning gold in the team race and silver in the group and scratch races.
Among the younger boys, Ivan Andrynevchyn took third place, while among the junior girls, Anastasia Saturova triumphed by winning gold in all three disciplines. An impressive performance was also shown by Pavlo Koval, who won all races among the boys.
The achievements were reported by the head of the education department, Petro Shevyak, who emphasised the pride in our cycling athletes and their successes.
