The Summer Trail race was held on Saturday, 20 June. A total of 500 participants lined up at the start, including 106 veterans. Runners tackled distances of 3, 13 and 30 kilometres.
The event was organised by the League of Good Running with the support of the Truskavets City Council and the Youth and Sports Department of the Truskavets City Council. The League of Good Running expressed its gratitude to the City Council, volunteers and partners for their help in staging the race.
The organisers also singled out the community of the village of Oriv and elder Tetyana Sukhromenda for the well-organised refreshment station in the village. Thanks were also extended to the mountain hotel Karpatські Полонини, which provided the refreshment station near the Tsyukhiv Verkh viewing tower.
Summer Trail in Truskavets has been held in June for several years in a row. The run combines a charitable purpose with the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, supports the rehabilitation of veterans, fosters domestic tourism and introduces participants to the natural surroundings of Truskavets and the Carpathian region.
The organisers stress that thanks to such events Truskavets is gradually establishing itself not only as a health resort, but also as a centre of active and socially responsible life. Many participants discover the resort and its picturesque locations precisely thanks to events organised by the League of Good Running.
