Regina Abramova, a young gymnast from Lviv region, has set her third Ukrainian record.
At the age of five, she performed 55 backward hip circles on the horizontal bar. This achievement was recorded on August 23 at the Olympic base “Koncha Zaspa” during the Kyiv Cup in artistic gymnastics. The record was entered into the Ukrainian Book of Records.
Regina is a student of the Comprehensive Children’s and Youth Sports School 1, where she is coached by Oksana Khandoga, an international category judge. It was she who prepared Regina for this achievement.
“In April, the girl set a record ‘Longest time holding a child’s body in an inverted straight hang on rings’, lasting on the rings for 5 minutes and 52 seconds. And in July, she became the youngest child to independently ascend Hoverla, completing the entire route without assistance in 2 hours and 29 minutes,” recalls the director of the sports, youth, and tourism department of the Lviv OVA, Roman Khimiak.
