On 1 June in the village of Konopnytsia of the Obroshyno territorial community, residents will receive and bid a final farewell to the fallen defender of Ukraine, Junior Lieutenant Oleh Chyzh. This was reported by the Obroshyno territorial community.
Oleh Chyzh (15.12.1993 — 24.05.2026) was a junior lieutenant and commander of a self-propelled artillery battery who gave his life for Ukraine and its freedom.
According to preliminary information, at approximately 12:30 the funeral cortege with the soldier’s body will arrive in the village of Konopnytsia. The gathering is planned on Horodotska Street, near the school.
After this, the funeral procession will proceed on foot to the house where the serviceman lived, at the address: 31 Ivasyuka Street. A joint prayer will be held there.
Then the procession will head to the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, where the funeral service for the defender will take place.
The burial of Oleh Chyzh is planned at the cemetery in the village of Konopnytsia.
The community emphasises the importance of honouring the fallen soldier with dignity as he is received and accompanied on his final journey, and of preserving a bright memory of him.
