On February 11th, Lviv will pay tribute to Andriy Voytiv, a defender of Ukraine, who gave his life in the fight against Russian invaders. The city authorities request the residents to unite during the farewell ceremony and refrain from celebrations or recreational events on this day.
The farewell ceremony will begin with a memorial service at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Velyki Hlibovychi. The funeral rites will take place at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul at 14:00. Afterwards, at approximately 14:30, a citywide ceremony will start in the Market Square. The farewell will conclude with a burial at the Lychakiv Cemetery.
