On November 15th, the memory of the 21-year-old Defender of Ukraine, Oleksandr Ivanchuk, will be honored in Sheptytsky.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr did not remain indifferent. Despite his young age, he decided to defend Ukraine. At home, his younger brother, grandmother, aunt, and beloved girlfriend were waiting for him — but for him, the most important thing was to stop the enemy and protect his native land.
“Sasha loved life, he dreamed, he planned, he was sincere, kind, brave, and courageous. The highest value for him was the life of a comrade — saving him, he gave his own. Despite his young age, his commitment to the military oath, courage, and self-sacrifice became an example of a true warrior”, recalls the Hero’s family.
On November 18, 2024, while performing a combat mission near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, Oleksandr Ivanchuk died, showing courage and loyalty to the oath until his last breath.
