Defender of Ukraine Pavlo Kindrat from Novoyavorivsk is returning to his native land “on the shield.” The community expresses sincere condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and everyone who knew the fallen soldier.
Pavlo Kindrat’s Life Path
Pavlo Ivanovych Kindrat was born on July 10, 2003, in the city of Novoyavorivsk. He received his school education at the Yury Kostiv Starychi General Secondary School of I–III grades.
After finishing school, Pavlo entered Lviv Polytechnic National University, where he earned a degree in telecommunications and radio engineering.
On June 29, 2024, after graduating from the university, Pavlo Kindrat continued his studies at the National Army Academy, attending the military department.
Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Pavlo was actively involved in sports and had a strong interest in military affairs, history, and the activities of the Azov military formation. He consciously prepared himself for service and the defense of Ukraine.
On July 26, 2025, Pavlo voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine by signing a contract with the Azov brigade. He is remembered as a sincere patriot who wanted to stop the enemy, bring victory closer, and help restore peace in Ukraine.
The Defender was killed on May 14, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission on the Donetsk front.
His mother Lesia, father Vasyl, grandmother Kateryna, and extended family remain in mourning.
Farewell to the Defender
A prayer meeting for Pavlo Kindrat will take place tomorrow:
- in Novoyavorivsk at 9:40 a.m. opposite the city council building;
- in the village of Starychi at 10:00 a.m. near the grave of the Sich Riflemen.
The funeral service will be held in Starychi at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UGCC.
The Defender will be buried at the local cemetery in the village of Starychi.
