The Sheptytskyi City Council has announced another heartbreaking loss for the community. In the fight for Ukraine’s freedom and independence, Ivan Oleksiyovych Alyekseyev, aged 27, was killed in action.
On February 25, while carrying out a combat mission, Ivan Alyekseyev — a sailor and driver-electrician of the strike unmanned aerial systems unit of Military Unit A7382 — was killed near the settlement of Velyka Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region.
This tragedy is especially painful because it is the second major loss for the same family in a short period of time. In October 2025, the Hero’s father — Oleksii Ivanovych Alyekseyev — was also killed in the war.
The community extends its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the fallen defender. We share their grief and bow our heads in mourning. It is our duty to remember the immense price paid for Ukraine’s independence and freedom.
