A sorrowful day for the Sheptytska community — on June 6, Ukrainian serviceman Yurii Ivanovych Dubyk passed away prematurely at the age of 32.
Yurii joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in April 2022, initially serving in the 40th Separate Artillery Brigade. After sustaining an injury, he continued his military service in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.
Throughout his service, Yurii suffered multiple concussions, which severely affected his health. In April 2025, his condition deteriorated sharply, and he was once again hospitalized. Despite a month and a half of determined struggle, his heart stopped on June 6.
The city council, local residents, and all who knew him extend their heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. The community mourns together, remembering Yurii with sorrow and honor.

A memorial service will take place on June 6 at 7:00 PM at St. Volodymyr’s Church.

The funeral will be held on June 7 at 11:00 AM.

He will be laid to rest on the Heroes’ Alley at the Bendiuzkyi Cemetery.
