35-year-old soldier Stepan Pavlyk from Sheptytskyi returns home after captivity

A joyful piece of news has reached the community of Sheptytskyi — local resident Stepan Volodymyrovych Pavlyk, aged 35, has returned home after being held in captivity.

The Ukrainian defender served in the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, performing combat missions on one of the most intense sections of the front.

Missing near Robotyne

Since January 13, 2024, Pavlyk had been officially listed as missing in action. This happened during fighting near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

About a month later, his name appeared on the lists of prisoners of war, confirming that the Ukrainian soldier had been captured.

Family waited for his return

Throughout this difficult period, his family waited for him at home:

Relatives held onto hope that the defender would eventually return safely.

After a long time in captivity, Stepan Pavlyk has finally come back home. The community welcomes him with gratitude and respect for his service.
