The Belyz City Council has reported a tragic loss for the community. On November 8, 2024, during a combat mission near the village of Chumatske in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region, Ukrainian Defender Volodymyr Leshyk was killed.
Volodymyr Mykhailovych Leshyk, born in 1987, was a resident of Murovane village. He served as a rifleman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Volodymyr joined the ranks of Ukraine’s defenders on June 23, 2022, bravely taking up arms in defense of the nation’s freedom and independence.
We extend our sincere condolences to his parents, sister, relatives, friends, and fellow soldiers. In this difficult time, the entire community bows their heads in mourning together with you.
Eternal memory and glory to the Hero. His courage and sacrifice will forever live in the hearts of Ukrainians.
