The Radehiv community has received another tragic piece of news from the frontline. Andrii Volodymyrovych Medvid, a resident of the village of Yastrubychi, was killed while carrying out a combat mission in defense of Ukraine.
The serviceman lost his life on September 4, 2026, in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian defender was 51 years old.
Andrii Medvid served as a soldier and technician-driver of a border anti-aircraft missile outpost of the Third Rapid Response Border Commandant’s Office of the 1st Border Detachment.
The Radehiv community expresses its sincere condolences to the fallen soldier’s family, relatives, friends, and fellow servicemen. The community shares the profound grief of this irreparable loss with his loved ones.
Information about the arrival of the funeral cortege carrying the defender, as well as the date and time of the funeral service, will be announced separately.
Residents of the community are encouraged to honor the memory of Andrii Medvid and remember the serviceman with kind words.
