Sad news once again reached the Sokal region — another native son has fallen in the war zone.
On Monday, May 27, 2025, near the settlement of Stinky in Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian serviceman Volodymyr Ivanovych Bodnarchuk was killed. He was born on December 24, 1971, and lived in the village of Telyazh. He was 53 years old.
Volodymyr served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a chemical specialist in the platoon for radiation, chemical, and biological defense in military unit A0998. His life was tragically cut short during two targeted strikes by enemy FPV drones on the area where the personnel were stationed.
Our sincere condolences go to his wife Lyudmyla Stefaniivna, his sons Ihor and Yurii, daughter-in-law Olha, and grandchildren Antonina and Zakhar. We mourn with the family and share in their grief.
