Andrii Antonishyn from Lviv Killed in Action for Ukraine

On 25 April, a farewell ceremony will take place in Lviv for the defender Andrii Antonishyn, who lost his life on the front line defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. The city authorities urge residents and visitors to join the ceremony and refrain from entertainment activities.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 at the Garrison Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, followed by a city-wide ceremony at Rynok Square at approximately 11:30. The burial of the defender will take place at the cemetery in the village of Hryniv, Davidivska community.

Andrii Antonishyn (06.07.1977 — 17.04.2026) was a native of Lviv, studied at SZZ No. 84 named after Josaphata Hordashevska and the Vocational School. After his compulsory military service, he worked as a baker. In 2025, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defending Ukraine’s sovereignty on the Donetsk front. He is survived by his family, children, and a grandchild.
