Novyi Rozdil Community with deep sorrow bid farewell to their fellow townsman, hero, and defender of Ukraine, Andriy Bandrovskyi. For nearly three years, his family lived in uncertainty, hoping and praying for his return. Unfortunately, news of his tragic death became known.
The community’s residents met the fallen soldier’s coffin on their knees, honouring Andriy’s bravery and self-sacrifice. After a brief prayer at the Avenue of Heroes, the procession moved to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, where a Requiem Service and funeral rites took place.
Bandrovskyi was born on 30 June 1994. He served as a rifleman-assistant grenadier in military unit A0998. On 21 May 2023, during a mission, he was killed at a firing position near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, remaining faithful to his oath and the people of Ukraine.
The entire Novyi Rozdil community extends sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew Andriy.
