
During the defence of Ukraine against the enemy, Andriy Davydov from Drohobych was killed. In October 2024, while carrying out a combat mission on the Pokrovsk front, contact with him was lost, and he was considered missing in action. In May 2025, the body of the fallen Hero was repatriated to Ukraine. After extensive DNA testing, the defender’s death was officially confirmed, allowing his body to be returned home for farewell and eternal rest.
The fallen Hero is survived by his wife and two sons. The funeral cortege with the warrior’s body will be met on Monday, 30th March, at 12:00 at the Heroes’ Crossroads. Afterwards, the cortege will proceed to Rynok Square, where a city-wide farewell to the warrior will take place at 12:30. The funeral service will be held at 13:00 at the Church of the Holy Martyr Josaphat on 101 M. Hrushevsky Street. Defender Andriy will be buried in the Alley of Glory.
