Andriy Vintskovskyi from Nyzhni Hai Killed in Combat for Ukraine

The Drohobych community received with sorrow the news of the death of Ukrainian defender, Andriy Vintskovskyi, a resident of the village of Nyzhni Hai. Andriy had been defending our land since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

He was born on 29 October 1985, graduated from the local school, and later from VPU No. 19. He worked in construction. At the onset of the war, Andriy voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the 67th Battalion of the 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade, where he served for a year and a half. He later left to care for his ailing father.

The cherished protector’s life ended on 30 April at home. In mourning are his parents, two brothers with their families, and two godchildren. The Drohobych City Council expressed its condolences to the family and friends.

A prayer service for the fallen will be held today, 1 May, at 21:00 at his family home. The funeral service will take place on 2 May at 12:00 at the Church of Saint Venerable Paraskeva in Nyzhni Hai. The warrior will be laid to rest at the local cemetery. Eternal memory to the Hero!
