During the latest attack on Dnipro, civilians were affected, with fatalities and injuries, including children. This is more than just statistics – these are shattered lives in one specific building. A photo showing a gaping hole in the structure demonstrates the aftermath: it’s like a gate to hell, not just destroying concrete but consuming everything – comfort, children’s dreams, and quiet evenings.
Despite the danger of further strikes and the risk of collapse, rescuers managed to save people from beneath the ruins, including children. They feel neither the cold nor fatigue – every step they take in the heart of the disaster could be their last. Alongside the rescuers, State Emergency Service psychologists are working to support the affected.
Unfortunately, this is today’s reality: while some strive to break through the danger, others are steadfast in protecting lives. By joining forces, rescuers, medics, psychologists, and all those who aid, hope for the day when these gates to hell will close forever, and life will once again flourish where the ruins now stand.
