The Belz community gathered to honor the memory of their Hero, Petro Tymofiyovych Papaevych, who died on the battlefield.
With great sorrow, the residents welcomed the warrior who gave his life for Ukraine. The cortege with the body arrived at his native village Tiahyliv, where the community tearfully received Petro Tymofiyovych and escorted him to his home.
“Our Defender Petro died as a result of hidden injuries and wounds sustained during the relief from the frontline position where he had been for over 2 months. During the replacement, the group came under heavy artillery fire. He lost consciousness, his comrades revived him, but he passed away a few minutes later. A forensic examination revealed hidden injuries and wounds, including a spinal injury, which was the main cause of death.” – said a comrade of our Hero, Stepan Buniak, head of the military-civilian cooperation department of the staff of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo.
Bright memory to the Hero, whose courage, dedication, and love for Ukraine remain forever in the hearts of relatives, friends, and the entire community. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 11:30 AM.
