Soldiers of the police battalion “Lviv” serve in Donetsk region

They carry out counter-sabotage and operative search measures, identify saboteurs and collaborators.

Fighters of the Special Purpose Police Patrol Service Battalion “Lviv” of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region perform combat missions in the Lymansky and Bakhmutsky directions. They carry out counter-sabotage and operational-search activities, identify saboteurs and collaborators, serve at roadblocks, as well as maintain law and order and help local residents.

The volunteer unit was formed on April 16, 2014 to participate in the anti-terrorist operation. After training and combat coordination in July, law enforcement officers went to the east of Ukraine to participate in combat operations against terrorists and Russian invaders – they are still fighting today under the leadership of the commander of the unit, police colonel Roman Krovitsky.

“Now we are carrying out combat missions in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions. We have different tasks there – carrying out counter-sabotage and operative-search activities, identifying saboteurs, collaborators, serving at checkpoints, maintaining law and order in populated areas, helping local residents,” said Roman Krovitskyi.

Today, every fighter of the battalion has one most important dream, common to all of them: “All of us are well motivated, determined and intend to return home only with victory,” said the unit commander.
