British farmers and volunteers have once again arrived in Lviv as part of the “Pickups for Peace” initiative, delivering a further 20 off-road vehicles to Ukrainian defenders. All the vehicles have been prepared for operation in frontline conditions and will soon be dispatched to units on the front line.
Together with the vehicles, the humanitarian convoy brought generators, tablets for military units, medical supplies and other essential assistance. This equipment is expected to be used to carry out combat missions, evacuate the wounded and ensure the rapid movement of personnel.
Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Khrystyna Zamula stressed that such support remains critically important, as the war continues and Ukrainian soldiers go on defending the country at the front line.
The “Pickups for Peace” initiative was launched by British farmer Mark Laird, who has been supporting Ukrainian servicemen since 2014. Under this project, pickups loaded with humanitarian cargo are sent to Ukraine and then delivered directly to the front and to meet the needs of internally displaced persons. The vehicles supplied are helping every day to save the lives of both military personnel and civilians in areas of active hostilities.
