According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine №359 / 2022 “On awarding state awards of Ukraine” for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath of the Order “For Courage” III degree Roman Yurievich.
Roman was a veteran of the anti-terrorist operation – he volunteered to serve in the Armed Forces, and on February 24, the day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized to the 24th OMBR. King Danylo Halytsky, as part of which he was sent to the east of Ukraine together with other soldiers. The Hero died in the town of Popasna in the Luhansk region.
