Four defenders posthumously awarded for bravery

Four defenders from the Sheptytskyi district were awarded high military honors, unfortunately, posthumously.

The Order of Courage III Degree was awarded to: Viktor Pushkar, who died near the village of Stelmakhivka, Svatova district, Luhansk region, and Maryan Zatkhey, who died in March 2024 while on duty near the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region.

The Medal for Military Service to Ukraine was awarded to: Oleksandr Ivanchuk, who voluntarily defended the state from the beginning of the full-scale war. He died in November 2023 while performing a combat mission near the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region.

The Combatant’s Cross “For Courage in the Fight for the Homeland” was awarded to: Vadym Demchuk, a senior lieutenant, who died in June 2024 while performing a combat mission near the village of Komyshivka, Donetsk region.

In addition, eight fallen defenders were given the title “Honorary Citizen of the Chervonohrad city territorial community.” The Medal “Defender of Ukraine” was awarded to missing-in-action soldier Volodymyr Pavlovskyi.
