Ten servicemen of the Lviv region became Knights of the Order “For Courage” III degree – posthumously

The second year of the full-scale invasion of the occupiers daily, unfortunately, takes away the best sons and daughters of Ukraine. After all, for the second year in a row, brave soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are heroically defending the borders of our state and courageously resisting the Russian horde.

Today, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, together with the head of the First Border Detachment of the DPS of Ukraine, Colonel Oleg Burda, presented state awards to the families of fallen servicemen from the Lviv region. We are talking about the orders “For Courage” of the III degree, with which the military was awarded, unfortunately, posthumously.

Among the true Heroes who gave their lives for our freedom and peace is the name of the defender from the village of Naguyevych, Drohobytsk community – Andrii Musiyovsky, who died while performing combat missions. The defender was a senior soldier, border service inspector of the 2nd category, grenade launcher. His wife received the award.

Also, awards according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine for personal courage shown in the protection of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, namely the orders “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously) were awarded to:

Yuri Boychuk from Chervonograd,

Andrii Bontsiun from Lviv,

Vitaly Hnatushok from Novoyavorivsk,

Volodymyr Kremin from the village of Polyany, Zolochiv Oblast,

Rostislav Kozelka from the village of Dubye, Zolochiv district,

Oleksandr Leontiev from Lviv,

Roman Pipko from Horodok,

Viktor Solyakov from Chervonograd,

Ihor Chekalskyi from the village of Silets in the Chervonohrad district.

Orders were handed over to the relatives of the fallen Heroes. The soldiers served in the ranks of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

In an address to the families of the victims, Maksym Kozytskyi emphasized that these awards, of course, will not return husbands, fathers, sons and brothers to their relatives. But they are a reminder that the state remembers and appreciates the supreme sacrifice made by the brave sons of Ukraine during the war to bring our victory closer.
